Since July 2021, it has held consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), thereby strengthening its capacity to promote human rights at the international level.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We aspire to a world where every individual fully enjoys the fundamental rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other relevant international instruments. Our commitment is reflected in the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promotion of human rights;<\/li>\n<li>Support for social development;<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of gender equality;<\/li>\n<li>Defense of children&#8217;s rights;<\/li>\n<li>Protection of the rights of indigenous peoples and minorities;<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy for the abolition of the death penalty;<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of environmental protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To achieve these goals, the Zagros Center engages in a variety of activities, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organizing conferences and seminars on human rights issues, often in partnership with other organizations;<\/li>\n<li>Participating in aid campaigns for victims of human rights violations;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting human rights education and supporting research on these topics;<\/li>\n<li>Exchanging information and cooperating with various human rights-focused organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Zagros Center receives no public funding. Our activities are financed exclusively through voluntary contributions and donations from our members, as well as their ongoing volunteer engagement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Zagros Center is led by an executive committee democratically elected during the annual general assembly, along with several subcommittees composed of dedicated volunteer activists.
