As signatories to this letter, we respectfully urge you to support the renewal of the mandates of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran and the Independent Fact-Finding Mission on Iran during the upcoming session of the Human Rights Council.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The situation in Iran remains alarming, marked by serious violations of human rights, including crimes under international law. Women, ethnic and religious minorities, as well as human rights defenders, continue to be systematically targeted. The repression by Iranian authorities against peaceful protests is particularly concerning, with documented cases of arbitrary detentions, torture, and extrajudicial executions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The renewal of the Special Rapporteur&#8217;s mandate is crucial to continue monitoring and reporting on human rights violations in Iran, as well as to pressure Iranian authorities to end these abuses and ensure accountability for those responsible. Similarly, the extension of the Independent Fact-Finding Mission&#8217;s mandate is vital to investigate recent events and shed light on the violations committed during the 2022 protests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We urge you to consider our plea and to support the renewal of these vital mandates.
