This call, which raises the possibility of a legal avenue for \u00d6calan to express himself in favor of peace, represents a significant opportunity to move towards a resolution of a conflict that has lasted for decades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We commend the willingness demonstrated by Mr. Bah\u00e7eli and other political leaders to build a Turkey where terrorism has no place. However, we would like to emphasize that true peace and stability in the country require a sincere commitment from all stakeholders, as well as an inclusive dialogue involving the various minorities in Turkey, including Kurds, Arabs, Armenians, and other groups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is crucial that the Turkish authorities take concrete measures to establish trust between the state and the different communities. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Lifting the isolation of Abdullah \u00d6calan:<\/strong> Allowing direct and constructive dialogue with key actors is essential to foster a climate of trust.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Developing inclusive policies:<\/strong> The cultural and political rights of minorities must be respected and integrated into the country\u2019s political decisions. This requires legislative reform to ensure fair representation of all communities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Establishing a dialogue framework:<\/strong> Encouraging the creation of platforms where all parties, including civil society organizations, can meet to discuss the concerns and aspirations of the different communities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commitment to human rights:<\/strong> Turkey has international obligations regarding human rights. It is imperative that these commitments be honored and that measures be implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In conclusion, the Zagros Center for Human Rights calls on the Turkish authorities to seize this opportunity to move towards a peaceful and sustainable solution to the Kurdish issue while respecting the rights of other minorities in Turkey.
